Description
PNNL offers custom-designed in-person tours that feature the research and development activities being conducted in the spent fuel management area. Tour stops could include the laboratories where they are conducting post-irradiation examination of spent fuel rods, studying dry storage canisters for aging effects, investigating techniques for detecting cracks in dry storage canisters, and developing durable waste forms for advanced spent fuel recycling wastes. Additionally visitors can see into un-used dry storage canisters. To arrange a tour, contact Mark Nutt at Mark.Nutt@pnnl.gov
