Evaluation of Waste Stream Receipt Scenarios for Repository Loading

The purpose of this calculation is to simulate the processing of an incoming waste stream into waste packages, simulating the required aging as applicable, and the emplacement of the waste packages into the Yucca Mountain repository.
Qualified software WPLOAD v. 2.0 will be used to determine the order and schedule of waste package emplacement based on thermal loading criteria. The results of the base calculation case will be shown to comply with thermal criteria to be referenced in the License Application. Additional calculation cases will be performed to show flexibility to varying waste stream arrival scenarios, thermal loading criteria, and thermal properties of the repository host rock layer.
