After helping to advance the Pressure Vessels, and Piping Industry for the last 50 years, the ASME-PVP is starting a new era of services to the industry. This conference is an international forum for discussion of the science and engineering needed to push forward with long-term storage and/or disposal options for used fuel and high-level waste (HLW). While science and engineering are certainly the foundation upon which these facilities will ultimately be built, it is clear that “consent-based” processes, especially when it comes to siting, must be employed to bring facility development to fruition. We welcome insights that can be garnered from organizations that have embarked upon the “consent-based” siting process.

This will be our 29th annual RIC – the largest technical meeting sponsored by the NRC – bringing together diverse groups of stakeholders to learn, share, and discuss information on significant and timely nuclear regulatory activities and emerging issues.

The annual Waste Management (WM) Conference, presented by WM Symposia (WMS), attracts thousands of registrants from around the world and is widely regarded as the premier international conference for the management of radioactive material and related topics. WMS is a non-profit organization dedicated to education and opportunity in waste management. It was founded to provide a forum for discussing and seeking cost-effective and environmentally responsible solutions to the safe management and disposition of radioactive waste and radioactive materials.
