Assessing the Challenges of Nuclear Criticality Safety from an Operational and Regulatory Perspective
The OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) Committee on the Safety of Nuclear Installations (CSNI) Working Group on Fuel Cycle Safety (WGFCS) will hold an international workshop on Operational and Regulatory Aspects of Criticality Safety (ORACS). The workshop will be hosted jointly by the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the United States Department of Energy in 19-21 May 2015 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. The workshop is planned for three days.
ANS International High-Level Radioactive Waste Management (IHLRWM) Conference
This conference is a leading international forum for the discussion of the scientific, technical, social and regulatory aspects of the "back end" of the nuclear fuel cycle. These issues include: used fuel and high level waste (HLW) generation, transportation, storage, processing, disposal, and associated aspects (such as facility decontamination and decommissioning, site remediation, regulation and stakeholder involvement).
